Our Story
Every business founder has an Aha Moment! Mine was a personal experience. I travel a great deal for fun and work. After a tumble on blacktop while showing off my football zig-zagging skills to my nephew, a 6 week series of events across 3 states unfolded. See the diagram below. It's impossible to control when and where medical problems will crop up. And it is extra difficult to manage treatment across multiple facilities in multiple states, or worse yet, multiple countries. In the best case, you become a pack mule for documents, DVDs or similar media storing records, images and test results. In the worse case, you start at square 1 every time you engage a new health care provider. I repeatedly uttered to myself, "There has got to be a better way. This is the predicament of millions of people. And what will happen when we start moving Mom around for her care with family members. " This was the impetus for ICSI. -- Mark Silvestri, Founder ICSI.
